Invasion, party took place while couple on vacation
A vacationing couple from the Town of Sheboygan will be returning to a mess after someone apparently broke into their home and hosted a party there, according to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department. The apparent break-in, at the home of Tom and Nancy Manning, 728 Oak Tree Road, was reported about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, said Capt. Dave Adams of the sheriff's department. "A family member checking the house found a door forced open and someone had had a party in the residence," he said. Adams said the invaders apparently helped themselves to the Manning's food and beverages. The family has not yet returned to identify what, if anything, was taken. .

Vacation and Sick Time Request Denied
School board members denied member Rhonda Thurman's request for information about county school employees accumulated vacation and sick pay. Thurman says she wants the name, position, salary and amount of vacation time for each of the employees that make up the 13 million dollars in benefits.The majority of board members say the request is too personal and is not necessary for Thurman's inquiry.She says it's public information and fair game.Rhonda Thurman, School board Member:"I am an elected official, this does have to do with our budget I do not feel like it is an unreasonable request all this information is on everybody's paycheck when they get it how many hours they have accrued and how many vacation days they have approved the whole entire thing is already on their paycheck, this is not burdensome all I have asked for is the information." Thurman says she is consulting with a state representative on the next course of action.
