Vacation's over, it's back to school for youngsters
SCHOOLS across Brunei are all set to welcome back students today for a new academic year, but some parents, teachers and students were still busy scurrying for school materials yesterday as part of their final preparations for the start of the new school term. Nurul Akmal, 15, of Kg Rimba, said she started making preparations since a month ago, but has yet to buy new uniforms. "Even though I've started early, I still have to buy other school materials at the last minute,"said Nurul, adding that she will get her new school attire a week after school begins. The Secondary Five student who studies at the Paduka Seri Begawan Science College said she is excited to meet her friends again in the new year, but is wary that she has to study more diligently as she will be sitting for the GCE 'O' level public exams at the end of the year.
